The Baby Monkey Waited Alone on the Broken Branch Until the Rain Finally Stopped

Morning rain moved softly through the ancient trees surrounding Angkor Wat when a small baby monkey became separated from the troop. From a distance, the little one stayed frozen on a thin branch above the forest path, holding tightly while older monkeys crossed safely between the trees.

Visitors walking quietly below stopped when they noticed the baby looking around for its mother. The troop had already moved deeper into the forest canopy, leaving the tiny monkey alone for several long minutes. Wind pushed the branch back and forth while rainwater dripped from the leaves onto its fur.

At one point, the baby carefully tried to climb down, but the branch bent suddenly beneath its weight. It slipped slightly and held on again, letting out a soft cry that echoed through the quiet forest.

Not long after, an older female monkey returned from the trees above. She paused beside the frightened baby before gently guiding it back toward the troop. The forest slowly became calm again as both disappeared into the green canopy near the temple walls.
